Release Day+Review: Finding Alexei by Kendall Ryan

Here is a little bit about Finding Alexei
Add on [goodreads]
Out on NOW!

He’s bossy, moody, and overprotective.

He’s also a pro athlete who needs to focus on winning games and staying out of the headlines.

I’m fiercely independent and need a man like I need a second period each month.

So when our worlds collide, I never expected him to be the one to jump in and save me. Especially not when my ex-roommate disappears, leaving me with her baby.

I’m clueless about babies—and it shows. Good thing Alexei isn’t. With six nieces and nephews and an apparent hero complex, the dude is both sexy and more than capable. It’s a combination that makes it easy to forget we’re just playing house.

Review:

I was really looking forward to this book ever since I met Alexei in Dear Jane and I was quite curious where this story would lead after reading the summary.

Ryleigh and Alexei were both entertaining characters. I loved how independent Ryleigh was and that she tried her best to deal with the situation she got handed to her. She does the best she can with what she has and even when she knows it would be easier to give up, she doesn’t because she’s a good person and she doesn’t want anything to happen to her roommate’s baby. She accepted the responsibility of this baby with no choice but she works and makes sure this kid isn’t missing anything even if she’s not sure what she’s doing. She’s a fighter and it shows in the way she acts throughout the book.

Alexei has gotten a reputation of being a bit like a wild man and he’s working to get his good image back, but when you get to know him, you already know just how of good guy he is. When he comes to Ryleigh’s aid, he’s not thinking about his image; he’s only thinking about doing the right thing. He offers his help and continues to do so long after no able to just ignore the two of them. Plus just how he was acting with the baby would make anyone wanting kids with that man ;) He was seriously wooing me with his tenderness and his patience.

And the chemistry between the two of them was just simply hot. I liked how they worked together to make things the best they could for the baby and even though he had a tendency of taking the reins, she wasn’t scared to remind him who was actually in charge there.

Overall, this was another awesome quick paced reading from Kendall Ryan.

I was giving an advanced copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
