Review:
What I love about Ilsa Madden-Mills books is that they are such an entertainment that you can hardly stop reading them as they suck you in. This one wasn't the exception.
From the beginning, you will know that this book can only be interesting with these two characters. She isn't the kind of girl to back-up from a challenge and he adores to push her buttons.
Penelope is a strong-willed character. She doesn't let anything get her down easily and she doesn't stand down in front of anyone, especially not Ryker. Whether she is ready to admit that she finds him intriguing outloud, Ryker is never far in her mind. When he offers to help her out with her crush, she doesn't understand his motive, but she decides to trust him which is something huge because she doesn't let a lot of people get close to her. She isn't an introvert, but she isn't the social butterfly either; she's a mix of both. She's quite funny too and I adored how she interacted with the people in the book whether it was with Ryker, her best friend or anyone else.
Ryker is so much more than he seems and that's the kind of character I love to read about. You see one thing, but there's so much to dig underneath. Ryker may love to tease Penelope, but he isn't the douchebag you would expect with his reputation. He's a hardworking guy and he wants to prove to himself mostly that he can reach his goal.
Together, they are simply allowing themselves to open up more about who they are. As they start to learn more about one another throughout the book, the attraction isn't the only thing they can't deny; they have something together.
But no fret, you will find your dose of drama that will keep this book entertaining and that will make you stick to the end to see how it will all turn out.
Overall, I'm really hoping more books are coming into this series because I'm really enjoying them and there are a few other characters I wouldn't mind learning more about. So go and grab this book and let yourself be sucked in.
