Review: Brave by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Wicked, #3)

Here is a little bit about Brave
Add on [goodreads]

Ivy Morgan hasn't been feeling like herself lately. Not like anyone can blame her. After all, being held captive by a psychotic fae prince hell-bent on permanently opening the gates to the Otherworld is bound to leave some mental scars.

It’s more than that, though. Something dark and insidious is spreading throughout Ivy, more powerful than she could ever imagine... and it’s coming between her and the man she’s fallen deeply in love with, elite Order member Ren Owens.

Ren would do anything to keep Ivy safe. Anything. But when he makes a life altering choice for her, the fallout of his act has far reaching consequences that threaten to tear their lives apart.

If Ivy is going to have any hope of surviving this, she must put aside the hurt and betrayal she feels, and work with not only those she loves, but with an enemy she would rather kill than ever trust. War is coming, and it soon becomes clear that what Ivy and Ren thought they knew about the Order, themselves, and even their enemies, has been nothing but a cluster of dangerous, deadly lies. Ivy knows she must be more than just brave to save those she loves--and, ultimately, to save herself.

Because behind ever evil fae Prince, there’s a Queen

Review:

What can I say about this book? God, so much has happened in it and I'm still trying to get through my feels of this book.

It was really a rollercoaster of action even when not a lot seemed to be happening because the characters had so much to think through it all.

Ivy's world is changing and she has a lot of trouble dealing with it and dealing with everything that happened to her. It affects not only her, but those around her. I was torn most of the time between slapping her and wanting to hug her and protect her. Ivy is a strong character, but she's also vulnerable and I think that was something she didn't know how to handle most of the time.

She is also having a hard time knowing who she can trust when she has been lied by so many people around her, whether they had good or bad reasons to do so. Learning to think otherwise than the way she had been taught isn't easy for her.

Ivy and Ren's relationship is going to go through so much in this book and sometimes, you will feel helpless as a reader as events keep falling on them, making it harder for them to deal with their problems. I seriously enjoyed just how realistic this was and how well it blended with the rest of the story.

And we can't forget about Think who always finds a way to surprise us along with the others. This character is so lovable and funny. His presence itself will bring some chaos into this book.

And the faes bring more questions than answers sometimes, but I really liked that we got another side of the story between them and the Order. And the characters that were added to this series in this book were so interesting that I'm looking forward to the novella in 2018 about one of them. I'm really intrigued about what insight it will give us about that character.

So much is happening in this book that you don't have the time to take in what you just learned when something else hits you and you're wondering what's the next thing that will drop on our beloved characters.

This book was a really good conclusion to this series. It was an amazing series and I recommend everyone to go and grab the first book if they haven't started it or if you did and you haven't continue, go and grab the next books because you will want to get to the end of this story.

I was giving an advanced copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
